[nice tight book, no significant wear but with a tiny dampstain on the top edge of the front cover (interior of book unaffected); jacket has a somewhat larger dampstain at the top of the front panel (barely visible on the exterior), a few tiny tears and light rubbing]. (3 B&W photographs) Drawing-room comedy about an eminent violinist, now happily married, who is visited by a former lover. The author revamped the play under a new title, "Perfect Pitch," about ten years after its initial Broadway run in 1964. The playwright was also active as a screenwriter, notably on SABRINA (based on his own play, "Sabrina Fair") and Alfred Hitchcock's VERTIGO. .
