Written in the 3rd person, consistent with Brougham's style, this original letter presents his compliments to Beaumont and acknowledges receipt of a Petition from Bradford for the abolition of slavery. The Chancellor (Brougham) will take an early opportunity to present the petition to the House of Lords.
