Jacket and book illustrated with stills from the 1929 Victor Fleming film, co-scripted by Herman Mankiewicz and Jules Furthman and starring Jean Hersholt. A 1922 stage play, filmed as a silent (part of which survives) just before the cross-over to sound and ultimately edited and released by Paramount with vocal songs and snippets of dialog. Attractive.

Novelized from the First National Picture's early talkie (which was itself adapted from Nicholson's stage play) featuring Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Milton Sills, and Dorothy MacKaill.

Illustrated with stills from the 1932 film that featured Will Rogers and Joel McCrea, with an attractive jacket painting of Rogers by Mac Tey. A nice copy.
